exit tax
Costa Rica requires a $26.00 per person exit fee when departing. This will
be assessed at the airport. Be mindful that I believe they only take cash or
colones..so please plan for this the day before you departure.
passport
Please do not forget to apply for your passport early! Generally there is a
10 week turnaround time for U.S. Passports. Click here to find the nearest passport application
location.
honeymoon updates
Quinn has allowed me the honor of choosing our Honeymoon
site. I was perplexed, because to me, Costa Rica would
be it. We have decided to send my managers back to
Glass Wall The Restaurant without me for another week...
they can handle it without me! Quinn and I will depart
with you all at the airport and go in search of another
less traveled Central American country. Here are my
ideas…(yes, all but one them has world class surfbreaks
for my early morning sessions). We would love to know
your thoughts and experiences at any of these places.
If you have other ideas we would love to hear them
as well. I ruled out any trips to the far Pacific… as
my Wavehunters Travel Guide has suggested I may be
seriously impaled buy a nasty reef (based on my surfing
skills the last time we were in the water). So we won’t
need any of those recommendations at this time.
Libertad, El Salvador: a great coastal, party town
Southern Province, Costa Rica: driving the Southern
Pacific and Caribbean coast
Panama: a private island on the Pacific called Santa
Catalina
Guatemala: no surf but great people. Driving through
the country from the mountains to the coast
Rapa Nui: island in the south pacific belonging to chile
